Getting Started

  • Who does Crockett Wealth Management, Inc. work with?

We work with pre-retirees and retirees, business owners, and high income professionals who have accumulated significant assets and want a higher level of service and personal attention than a typical advisory relationship provides.

  • What happens in an initial conversation?

We start by getting to know you and confirming the relationship is the right fit for both you and Crockett Wealth Management, Inc. This is a conversation, not a sales pitch. You will leave with a clear understanding of how we work and whether it makes sense to move forward.

  • Is there a minimum amount of assets required to work with you?

Because of the level of personal attention and in house portfolio management we provide, our services are generally best suited for individuals and families with significant assets. We can discuss whether your situation is a fit during an initial conversation.

  • Do you work with clients outside of Utah?

Yes. While Sterling Crockett and the firm are based in Utah, we serve clients in other jurisdictions where legally permitted.

How We Work with You

  • What makes your process different from other firms?

Our process is built around you, not a standard package applied to every client. It begins with understanding your goals and fit, moves through a comprehensive portfolio review, and continues with personalized recommendations, implementation, and ongoing review, so your plan keeps pace with your life.

  • How often will we meet or hear from you?

We provide one on one, personalized service to each client. Meeting frequency is built around what makes sense for your situation, with regular reviews to keep your plan current as your goals and circumstances change.

  • Will I understand why you are recommending something?

Yes. Every recommendation is delivered with a clear explanation covering the objective, the reasoning, the risks, the costs, and the alternatives, so you always know exactly what you have and why.

  • What if my needs change over time?

Your plan is reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis. As your goals, business, or family situation evolves, your strategy is adjusted to reflect it.

Our Investment & Planning Approach

  • Will my portfolio look like every other client's portfolio?

No. Every portfolio we design is unique to you, based on your goals, needs, and aspirations. You will not be placed into a model allocation alongside many other clients.

  • Who actually manages my investments?

Your portfolio is managed directly by our team, in house. There are no outside money managers or added layers between you and your investments, which allows for closer oversight, quicker adjustments when markets shift and lower costs.

  • How do you help me understand risk and potential outcomes?

We run multiple scenarios and show you different outcomes and probabilities, rather than presenting a single prediction. This helps you see your options clearly before making a decision.

  • Do you help with more than just investments?

Yes. We coordinate tax minimization strategies, legacy and giving strategies, retirement income planning, and for business owners, cash flow planning and business succession planning, all connected to your overall wealth strategy.

  • How do you help business owners specifically?

We help business owners plan for consistent cash flow, coordinate business and personal finances, and think through succession, whether that means passing the business to family, selling to a partner or outside buyer, or another path entirely. We can also assist with the set up of qualified retirement plans for the business.

  • What is retirement income planning, and do I need it?

If you are approaching or already in retirement, retirement income planning is about turning what you have built into an income stream. We coordinate this with your investments, taxes, and long-term goals.

Trust, Fees, & Fit

  • Are you a fiduciary?

Yes. As a fiduciary, we operate in the best interest of our clients always. Every recommendation is centered on what is genuinely right for you.

  • How are you compensated?

We are happy to walk through our fee structure directly during an initial conversation, so you have a clear and complete picture before moving forward.

  • Why do you manage portfolios in house instead of outsourcing?

Managing money in house allows us to minimize additional costs and expenses for clients, while giving us closer oversight and the ability to adjust more quickly as markets and your life evolve.

  • What if I already have an advisor?

Many clients come to us wanting a second opinion or a more personalized relationship. We are happy to review your current situation and provide clarity on your options, with no pressure involved.

  • What should I expect if I decide to move forward?

You can expect ongoing transparency, a plan built specifically around you, and a partner who takes the time to explain what you have and why, every step of the way.
